“My very 1st paid show was in 1981 as the orphan Pepper in “Annie” at the Victoria Palace theatre in London´s West end – 4 shows a week Thursday thru Saturday. We were paid the princely sum of 50 pounds a week! I can still recite every scene and do all of the choreography – almost 30 years later! That´s how well they drummed it into us! It truly was a fantastic time!”
Maria is currently back in Germany after spending a year in England as a Creative Director of a new show there. She is currently doing a Musical Gala show playing around 100 concerts a year. She runs her own Musical Academy in England teaching kids and adults from 3 to 103! She has a 5 year old daughter who also keeps her very busy. She performed the starring role of Pearl in Starlight Express London when she was 16 years old, then went to Germany to recreate the role in the German production. She has since performed with Starlight Express on and off over the last 10 years. She has also performed leading roles in other shows including “Tabaluga & Lilli”, “Miami Nights” “Hair” “Rocky Horror Show”.
